Design Justification
HEY THERE, it’s team vector’s website! How do you like our website design?
We choose this theme for its clear visual style. There is always a small sign on the left of the top bar to show this website is about YouTube recommendation system. In the front page, we have this huge image as background, a man is using his mobile device, what is he doing? Probably watching YouTube videos! For other pages, we do not adopt YouTube red as the background color for a better visual experience. Instead, we use the ocean blue, stands for the large pool of videos! And we recommend you each page from the large pool of other content! What’s more, the ocean blue also expresses our willingness to “calm down” when critically thinking complicated social-technical issues related to YouTube’s recommendation system.
Also, this theme allows all the text and videos to be on the central, branch pages can be shown on the right side of the top bar. We have a clear branch of each page to describe different aspects of YouTube recommendation system. We like things to keep neat because we are technical! In the center of front page header image, we have two big buttons that can direct you to a hidden page, also things you might want to know!
At the end of the front page, we also have the contact form, and the receiver’s email is our own mail if anyone who seen our website and has concerns can easily get in touch with us.
So we choose this theme, because it satisfied our need for putting all the content on this website and also layout the content in a clear way, to be more attractive to readers.
Our team logo is a small thunder, looks like a vector, just as our name!
CSS: we use CSS code to change the header letter’s font size and style. As well as the paragraph’s font size and style, to make it more interesting to look at.

The Team
Growing up in both the northern and southern part of China, I enjoy immersing myself into cultures through the acquisition of different languages.
I am interested in the reception theory of Japanese cinema in and outside of Japan, specifically in learning about how movie viewers engage, process and eventually understand movies. Currently my focus is on how Japanese cinema has reflected Japan’s post-WWII reconstruction in culture and national identity. For example, are movie productions supposed to “be responsible for telling the truth” of Japan’s WWII history? From whose position are we discussing these questions, and to what end?
